What is a doula?

As a doula, I am professionally trained in guiding and supporting women with information, physically and emotionally during their pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I provide continuous non-medical care during labor as a birth companion.

how will i support you during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum?

I support mom emotionally during pregnancy. Helping mom and dad both to learn about pregnancy and birth through prenatal consultations and comfort measure techniques. We will discuss birth plans and options as well as intervention options.

During labor, I will meet you at your house during early labor if you wish, or at the birthing location later on. Whatever you are most comfortable with at the time. I will be there to support your partner as they offer comfort measures, breathing support, physical and emotional support. I will offer breaks to your partner and suggest different positions and techniques to try, always with the support and advice from your care provider.

In postpartum, I meet with you and your partner to discuss how baby is feeding and sleeping, how mom is doing eating, sleeping and recovering. We will talk about your birth (if you desire) and at this time I can also provide any postpartum care hours that have been purchased, such as laundry or grocery shopping support. what additional services can you choose from?

I am certified in belly binding and using a TENS during labor.
 

PAYMENT/refund/cancellation policy

The fees are subject to change based on the packages and services chosen.

A deposit of $250 is due at the time contract is signed to hold your estimated due date.

The deposit is non-refundable.

All payment is due by 36 weeks.

If paid in full at the time of contract, there is a discount of $25.

If not paid in full by 36 weeks, and no contact has been made by client about remaining balance, I will try to contact client before their due date. If baby arrives or client does not respond, then no refund will be given.

In the event of an unexpected circumstance such as; loss of job, moving, or loss of baby, a refund will be discussed on a case by case basis.
